Whether it's fact or fantasy is hard to assess, yet researchers at the Diffusion group predict that US podcasting audiences will climb from 840,000 last year to 56 million in 2010.
The number is almost five times higher than the rivalling prediction by Forrester which puts the 2010 forecast at 12.3 million users. Either way, even when taking a mid-point between these numbers, we're talking about a market representing 10% of the Americans. This is an interesting number any way you look at it.
