Lazlo Systems has teamed up with Amazon to prototype this music browsing/shopping experience.
It's worth playing around with—combines drag-n-drop functionality with a "pageless" interface reminicent of the TJ Maxx shopping cart combined with a dash of the Xbox "blades" design. It will be interesting to see if this eventually takes off. The interface better mimics a true browsing experience. The search feature works great and your always one click away from managing your cart or other features without ever losing your place.
It's like going down to the local Best Buy, getting in line and having someone save your place while you add more items. The prototype can bee seen here.

We are increasingly working with other vendors who sell our products online. Each has their own online store and back-end fulfillment process - either via their warehouse or ours, which is making our data management, accounting and fulfillment processes increasingly cumbersome. Having them use a source code that links to our store is not a viable option, since they want their visitors to have a single-source experience, a la Amazon - not a simple Affiliate program.
They want names and revenue via a single store experience for their customers. We want names and revenue and market breadth. Both of us want a simplified method of serving the customer's interests and product fulfillment and accounting.
Have any of you solved this problem? What are the logistics you have set up? Or can you suggest places to go for this information?
