Take for example heateatreview.com which is a collection of reviews of microwave meals, a concept so brilliant and so simple the mind boggles. How many office workers are eating a microwaved lunch everyday? Well FMCG’s need to take notice of these blogs that are becoming the new intermediaries that are gradually gaining more influence in the marketplace.

HeatEatReview.com The Trusted Guide to the Microwaved Meal
There will come a point where some industries will realize they are no longer driving the conversation, but some teenager in nebraska is now the main influencer in their market.

Absolutely and it's not just in the FMCG sector. We are the agency for Mitchells & Butlers a well known F&B company in the UK who have a portfolio of approx 50 High Street Bars & Restaurant brands. We have been talking to them for a while about the growing trend of 'Consumers being King'. To help demonstrate the point, we googled one of their brands O'Neill's that we are heavily involved with and all we came up with were dozens of personal reviews of their pubs, very few of which gave a positive feeling. Digital is the leading medium for social interaction amongst the young target audience and what Mitchells & Butlers need to do now is to recognise the power of the consumer and to generate positivity by providing them with sticky branded content and giving them the tools to use it for social interaction.
Obviously lot's more to it that that and could chat about it for ages.
Best wishes from a sunny and warm London
