Youngsters are using fewer illegal drugs but a spike in use has been seen among older adults, perhaps because a few aging baby boomers have clung to their rebellious ways, according a U.S. substance abuse report published on Thursday.
Just 6.8 percent of teenagers aged 12 to 17 said they used marijuana in 2005, down from 8.2 percent in 2002, according to the annual survey done by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Doesn’t matter if your selling drugs or cars – pay attention to the 50-plus!

Come one man... Let's focus on a drug rehab and let's not give drug dealers some hints. This seems very weird for me. I love the law too much.
It could also be that younger people aren’t so sure where to get drugs and don’t have the money for them, and of course there is pressure from parents not to do drugs. The older generation have more freedom, and I’m sure many reach the age of 50 and decide what they hell and sadly become addicted, what’s worse is their bodies will be less capable of withstanding the negative effects of the drugs. They are also less likely to have anyone encouraging them to go to a drug rehab or for them to feel they should.
My boyfriend is in rehab right now and he said the exact same thing. There's a lot of old folks that use. And I wonder again and again what is it that can push a man in his late 50's to abuse. I mean, there's this guy, Charlie, that has it all: a wife, two kids, a nice house, big car and yet he wasn't satisfied with his life. It's unbelievable.
